Item 8.01 Other Events.
On June 27, 2005, the Registrant entered into an agreement to sell its mutual fund advisory business to Pioneer Investment Management, Inc. Details of the transaction are contained in a press release issued by AmSouth, a copy of which is attached hereto and incorporated herein as Exhibit 99.1.
