This
announcement is made pursuant to Rule 13.09(2) of the Rules Governing the
Listing of Securities on The Stock Exchange of Hong Kong Limited.
Huaneng
Power International, Inc. (the “Company”) announces that a 600MW
ultra-supercritical coal-fired generating unit (Unit 4) at Huaneng Yingkou
Power
Plant completed the 168-hour trial run on 14 October, 2007. To date, the
Company’s total generation capacity on an equity basis has increased from
28,787MW to 29,387MW.
