Item 8.01 - Other Events
On February 7, 2007 Overseas Shipholding Group, Inc. ("OSG") issued a press release announcing that (i) OSG had signed an agreement in principle pursuant to which, subject to certain conditions, Aker Philadelphia Shipyard (the "Aker Yard"), a subsidiary of Aker American Shipping ASA, will construct up to six additional Veteran Class MT-46 Jones Act Product Tankers (three fixed plus three options) which OSG will bareboat charter for initial terms of 10 to 15 years upon delivery and (ii) OSG had signed a time charter agreement with BP relating to one of the original ten Jones Act product tankers being built at the Aker Yard. A copy of the press release is attached hereto as Exhibit 99.1 and is incorporated herein by reference.
