Item 5.02. Departure of Directors or Principal Officers; Election of Directors; Appointment of Principal Officers.
On January 17, 2007 SpectRx, Inc. announced the appointment of Mark L. Faupel, Ph.D. as President and Chief Operating Officer of the company replacing William "Bill" D. Arthur. Dr. Faupel previously served as Executive Vice President and Chief Technical Officer of the company. Mr. Arthur remains in his position as President and Chief Operating Officer of subsidiary company Sterling Medivations, Inc.
