Item 8.01. Other Events.

On March 30, 2011, Myers Industries, Inc. announced the launch of a new class of pallet-sized collapsible containers from its industry-leading Buckhorn^® brand. The full text of the press release issued in connection with this announcement is attached as Exhibit 99.1 to this Current Report on Form 8-K.

On April 1, 2011, Ameri-Kart Corp., a subsidiary of Myers Industries, Inc., received a Certificate of Conformity from the Environmental Protection Agency (“EPA”) for its new low permeation fuel tanks.
