Kramer Levin Elevates Four to Partner

Kramer Levin is pleased to announce the elections of David E. Blabey, Jr., Clémentine de Guillebon, Daniel Michaelson and Seth R. Niedermayer to partner positions in the firm.

David is a member of the firm’s Bankruptcy and Restructuring practice in New York. He represents diverse parties, including official creditors’ committees, bondholders, secured and unsecured creditors, and investors, as well as debtors, in complex Chapter 11 bankruptcy cases, out-of-court restructurings and other distressed situations. David has litigated numerous cutting-edge legal issues in the bankruptcy and appellate courts, including the U.S. Supreme Court. He has a J.D. from New York University School of Law and a B.A. in history from Amherst College, where he graduated magna cum laude.

Clémentine is a member of the firm’s Employment Law practice in Paris. She provides practical and proactive counsel to employers, helping them make decisions and take action to minimize their litigation risk, promote their workplace culture and values, and achieve their business objectives. Her work involves issues related to the labor impact of mergers, acquisitions, spin-offs and other corporate transactions, including the transfer of employees, negotiation of in-house agreements and consultation with the employee representative bodies. She regularly advises human resources and legal departments of international groups on the negotiation of collective agreements and social dialogue, redundancy plans, retirement plans, health and safety issues, labor conflicts, relations with labor authorities, executive termination and related pre-litigation and litigation. She holds a master’s degree in human resources and workplace relationships, CIFFOP, from the University of Paris II - Panthéon - Assas, and a Master 2 Employment Law, also from the University of Paris II - Panthéon - Assas.

Daniel is a member of the firm’s Securitization practice in New York. He works on securitization, structured finance and leveraged finance transactions. Daniel represents issuers, underwriters, borrowers, lenders, loan purchasers and service providers in term and warehouse securitizations, forward flow transactions and other structured finance transactions for a broad set of esoteric asset classes, including solar assets, clean energy land leases, venture loans, recurring revenue loans, property assessed clean energy (PACE) assets, unsecured consumer loans, timeshare loans, auto loans and government energy contract receivables. He has a J.D. from Brooklyn Law School, where he graduated magna cum laude, and a B.A. from Union College, where he graduated cum laude.

Seth is a member of the firm’s Real Estate practice in New York. He counsels and represents investors, developers, operators, financial institutions and REITs in the full range of real estate transactions — acquisitions and sales, developments, partnerships and joint ventures, and lending, borrowing and financing transactions. His projects involve commercial, residential, multifamily, mixed-use, luxury, and resort and hospitality properties, and include everything from traditional commercial transactions and financings to foreign investments in U.S. developments and some of the highest-profile developments in New York City and nationwide. He has a J.D. from Columbia University School of Law, where he was a James Kent Scholar, and a B.A. in history from Yale University, where he graduated cum laude.
