Belmont Village Senior Living Opens Doors to New Bay Area Community in Los Gatos

Unique public-private partnership between Belmont Village Los Gatos and Union School District enhances community and promotes inter-generational connectivity

Belmont Village Senior Living, a nationally recognized developer, owner and operator of high-quality senior living communities, announces the opening of its fourth community in the Bay Area: Belmont Village Senior Living Los Gatos.

The Los Gatos community, Belmont Village’s 14th community in California, has its roots in a unique public-private partnership. Selected by Union School District (USD) in 2017 to build on school district property, the 99-year ground lease brings value to Los Gatos seniors, USD educators, and students who will benefit from inter-generational services, resources, and connections.

“Our new Los Gatos community will offer residents the ability to share their skills and talents with educators and students,” says Patricia Will, Founder and CEO of Belmont Village Senior Living. “Our unique partnership with Union School District will forge meaningful connections, improve quality of life for our residents, and provide lasting impact to the school district and the Bay Area at large.”

On Friday, March 18, at 1:00 pm PST, Belmont Village Senior Living Los Gatos hosted a ribbon-cutting and tour for ceremony attendees. Among those that provided remarks at the event include Councilmember Pam Foley, District 9 City of San Jose, Dr. Carrie Andrews, Union School District superintendent, and Denise Colman, retired Union School District superintendent, with several USD board members and leadership from Belmont Village Los Gatos in attendance.

The new Belmont Village Los Gatos will play a vital role in the residential neighborhood with a centralized training center for teachers in the district and access to additional parking. Improving the overall appearance of the land, Belmont Village Los Gatos brings modernized architecture and attractive landscaping, including a pocket park lined with park benches, colorful plants, and shady trees for residents, staff and the greater community to enjoy.

All aspects of daily life are influenced by Belmont Village's proprietary, evidence-based approach to programming, health, and wellness. The community offers assisted living and memory care with a variety of studio, one-bedroom and two-bedroom floorplans and generous indoor/outdoor areas for dining and resident engagement. With an ideal location, residents can remain active in the community they’ve known while benefiting from unmatched clinical care and award-winning, innovative programming like Circle of Friends® and a Whole Brain Fitness approach that has promoted successful aging in Bay Area residents for over 20 years by nurturing and engaging the mind, body and spirit each day.
