Archer, the leading provider of integrated risk management solutions, announced the appointment of Anindo Banerjea as chief technology officer (CTO) to build on the company’s momentum of the past two years and drive the next wave of product innovation. In his role as CTO, Anindo will oversee both the Engineering and Product Management teams within Archer and will have a heavy focus on investments in platform modernization and telemetry, in preparation for the next phase of rapid growth in the cloud.
"Archer is already well placed for hyper-scale growth in the cloud," said Anindo. "The platform is already extremely configurable, and there is a large community of Archer certified professionals who know how to adapt the products to meet the unique needs of their business. Continued expansion in the cloud will further make Archer's growth frictionless, by removing installation and routine maintenance work from the path to value. In addition, the cloud will also tighten the feedback loop between Archer and our customers, accelerating the speed with which our products improve."
Anindo brings over 20 years of experience in senior leadership positions with enterprise software to his role at Archer. Most recently, as executive vice president of engineering at MetricStream, Anindo oversaw a global team of engineers and developers responsible for the roadmap and development of the MetricStream GRC platform and other tools central to the support of customers and partners. Prior to his more than 10 years at MetricStream, Anindo founded and served as CTO of TBD Networks, a SaaS-based cloud governance solution targeted at medium-sized enterprises. Anindo holds a Ph.D. in Computer Science from the University of California, Berkeley and has also served as an assistant and research professor the USC Information Sciences Institute and the University of Toronto.
The appointment of Anindo as Archer’s CTO caps an unprecedented wave of evolution and innovation for Archer over its 20+ year history. The company’s emergence as a standalone business and brand, establishment of new leadership, and cadence of product innovation have furthered Archer’s leadership position as the largest pure-play provider of risk management solutions. The launches of Archer Insight for risk quantifiction, Archer Engage for facilitation of data collection from vendors and business users, and solutions for emerging risk areas like ESG highlight the company’s track record in enhancing value of its core offering and supporting customers in their efforts to extend risk management to new strategic areas of the business.
“Everyone at Archer is thrilled to have Anindo join the team and excited about the impact of his leadership on our already impressive record of innovation,” said Bill Diaz, CEO of Archer. “The next stage of Archer’s growth and leadership in the risk management market will benefit greatly from Anindo’s experience – not only the core market but also in SaaS-based business models and delivery.”
