Quickbase Strengthens Data Security with Certifications by CSA STAR and the State of Texas

New certifications deliver peace of mind for organizations looking for highest standards of cloud and SaaS security to connect and manage their data to get work done

Quickbase, the dynamic work management platform, today announced two key certification standards for data and cloud security by the Cloud Security Alliance’s Security, Trust, and Assurance Registry (CSA STAR); and TX-RAMP Certified Cloud Product from the State of Texas. Together, these certifications provide organizations of all kinds the peace of mind that their data and applications are compliant, secure, and protected across the Quickbase platform.

Developed in 2013 to ensure cloud service providers are better able to maintain data confidentiality, integrity, and availability, CSA STAR is a trusted global standard for secure cloud computing. A free, publicly accessible registry, CSA STAR documents the security and privacy controls provided by popular cloud computing offerings. Quickbase achieved Level Two Attestation, the industry’s most powerful program for security assurance in the cloud, making it one of a select group of no-code technology providers to earn STAR Level 2. Doing so required satisfying a third-party audit to verify compliance with applicable requirements of SOC2 Type II, plus issues critical to cloud security as outlined in the Cloud Controls Matrix (CCM).

TX-RAMP Certification applies a standardized approach for security assessment, authorization, and continuous monitoring of cloud computing services that process the data of a state agency. Earning a Level 2 Certification as a Certified Cloud Product requires Quickbase to demonstrate compliance with specific cloud security criteria, and clears Texas public agencies – state agencies, higher education institutions, and public community colleges - to use Quickbase for regulated data in both moderate and high impact systems.

“We never want the security of our platform to be a roadblock for any organization looking for a way to make their employees more productive,” said Rebecca Harness, Chief Information Security Officer, Quickbase. “As such, we strive to stay ahead of requirements and certifications that affect our customers in every industry around the world. Our commitment to regulatory compliance and transparency helps remove any anxiety from buyers and customers that their data is secure and protected on our platform. It also delivers a decided edge in the marketplace for us, putting us in ‘rarified air’ compared to our competition.”
