HYAS Celebrates 2023 Benchmarks

Channel and Partner Expansions, Numerous Threat Intelligence and Protective DNS Awards, Groundbreaking AI-Malware Research, AI Act Contributions, and More

HYAS Infosec, an adversary infrastructure platform provider that offers unparalleled visibility, protection and security against all kinds of malware and attacks, today shared its momentum going into 2024 and highlights of 2023 in a speech by CEO David Ratner to employees and invited guests.

HYAS substantially expanded its market reach in 2023, expanding its footprint into multiple verticals both domestically and abroad. It established a spate of new partnerships, including LDI Connect, a leading provider of managed IT, office and security services; RSM, a leader in the professional services industry; Netrix Global, a leading global provider of cybersecurity and IT services that address mid-market and enterprise businesses’ most mission-critical IT needs through proprietary and managed solutions; and Socium Security, a security consulting firm committed to delivering tailor-made solutions to their clients. In addition, HYAS has developed OEM/white-label partnerships that provide protective DNS services powered by HYAS.

HYAS grew ongoing integrator relationships with multiple Tier I EDR vendors, such as Microsoft. Last month, Microsoft announced that HYAS was selected for the Microsoft Security Copilot Partner program, which will magnify capabilities built upon the HYAS Adversary Infrastructure Platform and deliver a level of value to clients that will help them gain the advantage over attackers.

Globally recognized independent research institute AV-TEST GmbH performed extensive and rigorous testing on HYAS Protect, and found it provided the highest level of cybersecurity protection. The research institute also found that HYAS Protect afforded substantially greater protection than all other protective DNS solutions providers tested to date, in part because of the unique intelligence and power of the HYAS Adversary Infrastructure Platform. The company launched a free consumer version called HYAS Protect At Home, providing cybersecurity’s first responders, as well as every day users, with an additional line of defense to help harden their home networks against cyberattacks. HYAS Protect At Home was named a 2023 New Product of the Year by Security Today Magazine.

HYAS was honored in the 2023 CISOs Choice Awards, and at RSAC 2023 it swept the Global Infosec Awards with eight wins, including Hot Company for Protective DNS, DNS Security, Threat Intelligence, Security Investigation Platform, Threat Actor Infrastructure Mapping, Cloud Workload Protection, OT Security and Critical Infrastructure Protection.

HYAS received other noteworthy recognitions in 2023 for both HYAS Insight, its advanced threat intelligence and investigation platform, and HYAS Protect protective DNS, solutions built upon and powered by the HYAS Adversary Infrastructure Platform. The honors include CyberTech 100 Award, Top Infosec Innovator Awards, Cybersecurity Breakthrough Awards, Fortress Cybersecurity Awards, Intellyx Digital Innovator Award, and CyberSecured Awards. In addition, The Software Report named David Ratner a Top SaaS CEO.

Ratner recognized HYAS Labs’ breakthrough work on AI-generated malware. The proofs of concept, BlackMamba, the first known AI-generated malware, and EyeSpy, the first polymorphic, fully autonomous malware, are helping advance the understanding of AI systems and prepare for the threat landscape ahead. “As experts in adversary threat infrastructure, we recognize that the next generation of attack infrastructure is going to be fully AI-synthesized, polymorphic attack frameworks,” Ratner said. “By developing defensive tools that can counter them, we will be prepared to fight tomorrow’s war.”

The research has already proved instrumental for the contributors to and framers of the European Union's AI Act, which is widely viewed as breakthrough legislation that will prove foundational to global AI regulation.

Ratner concluded his remarks by looking to the year ahead. “The notion that an organization can repel bad actors from their network and organization at the perimeter is obsolete. New zero-day attacks, insider and supply chain risks, ever-improved phishing, and the unprecedented damage that AI-driven malware can do is increasingly clear,” he said. “2024 will see organizations of all sizes start to embrace a new mindset: That true operational and business resiliency lies in implementing solutions that provide visibility into real-time anomalies and activities inside the environment, which must include solutions that allow organizations to see and track the digital exhaust and telltale signs of a breach.”
