Institute also names Dr. Jarik Conrad as its new executive director
The Workforce Institute at UKG is pleased to welcome two distinguished HR and workplace culture experts to its advisory board: Dr. Jessica Kriegel, chief scientist of workplace culture at Culture Partners, and Enrique Rubio, founder of the Hacking HR global learning community. The Workforce Institute also named Dr. Jarik Conrad, vice president of human insights at UKG, as its new executive director.
Since 2007, The Workforce Institute has helped organizations drive performance by addressing workplace challenges while providing an important voice for frontline, hourly, and salaried employees across industries. The think tank is known for its global research on current and future trends impacting HR, organizations, and their people — such as its April 2022 study on pandemic-era job leavers, January’s report on mental health at work, and annual employee absenteeism survey surrounding the Super Bowl — as well as its yearly set of Workplace Predictions developed by its advisory board.
Dr. Jessica Kriegel
In her role at Culture Partners, Kriegel leads research and strategy in best practices for driving results through culture. For more than 15 years, she has been guiding global, national, and Fortune 100 companies across the finance, technology, real estate, and healthcare industries on the path to creating intentional cultures that accelerate employee performance. As a keynote speaker, Kriegel leverages her current research and expertise in driving global organizational culture innovation, providing leaders with the map and tools for how to build cultures that deliver results. Kriegel’s insights on workplace culture have been featured by CNBC, CNN, Fast Company, Forbes, Fortune, and The Wall Street Journal.
Enrique Rubio
Rubio is an HR, technology, and future-of-work expert, keynote speaker, and founder of Hacking HR, a global learning community at the intersection of the future of work, technology, business, and organizations, with thousands of members all over the world. Prior to Hacking HR, Rubio was the founder and CEO of Management Consultants, a firm specializing in HR in Venezuela. Previously, he worked in the telecommunications sector as a senior project engineer for Telefonica, and as an advisor to the chief human resources officer at the Inter-American Development Bank. In 2020, Engagedly.com named Rubio one of the Top 100 HR Influencers.
Dr. Jarik Conrad
As vice president of human insights at UKG, Conrad leads a team of former HR practitioners, business leaders, and consultants who are distinguished experts in the human capital management field and uniquely qualified to help leadership teams reach their organizational goals. With an acute pulse on industry trends, best practices, and technological innovations, Conrad and his team serve as liaisons, trusted advisors, and thought leaders who help to shape HR industry conversations and direction.
Prior to UKG, Conrad spent more than 20 years in HR leadership roles in the private, public, and nonprofit sectors. He is the author of two bestselling books: “The Fragile Mind: How It Has Produced and Unwittingly Perpetrates America’s Tragic Disparities,” and “In Search of Humanity: Why We Fight, How to Stop, and the Role Business Must Play.”
“I’m privileged to lead The Workforce Institute as executive director and to welcome Jessica and Enrique to our advisory board of experts,” said Conrad. “We’re living in a time that’s ripe with opportunity — though not without lingering fears, increased stress, and growing uncertainty — as companies and their employees navigate the post-2020 workplace. The past few years have cemented the importance of investing in people, even in the most challenging of times, and The Workforce Institute is here to provide actionable insights on how to better care for your people, so you can best serve your customers and support long-term business growth.”
