GoNetspeed Announces Grand Opening of Berlin Facility

GoNetspeed today celebrated the official grand opening of the company’s Berlin facility. GoNetspeed’s Berlin construction project began in 2021 and has developed rapidly, providing access to high-speed 100 percent fiber internet to thousands of residents and businesses, welcoming more than 50 new jobs to serve the area and the company’s growing footprint.

GoNetspeed’s warehouse is located at 24 New Park Drive, Berlin, CT 06037, and is the primary command center for the company’s locally based construction, HR, and field tech teams. The fiber internet hub has created opportunities for local response and support as GoNetspeed continues to construct the fiber internet network that serves communities throughout the area including Berlin, Bristol, Bloomfield, Farmington, Glastonbury, New Britain, Newington, Plainville, Southington, Waterbury, Wethersfield, West Hartford, and Windsor.

“We are pleased to have the opportunity to celebrate GoNetspeed’s first physical location in Berlin, serving the greater Hartford area,” said Mayor Mark Kaczynski. “GoNetspeed has rapidly expanded construction, bringing high-speed fiber internet to Berlin and much of the surrounding area. GoNetspeed has created many good-paying jobs and has plans to create many more in the coming months, supporting our growing workforce, residents and businesses as they create a permanent presence in our community.”

“As we continue to expand service, it is vital for GoNetspeed to have a physical home to support construction and field tech teams that serve Berlin and the surrounding area. Today we are thrilled to celebrate the grand opening of our Berlin facility, proof of our investment in the area and plans for future growth,” said Richard Clark, GoNetspeed President and CEO. “As we celebrate the warehouse, we also celebrate the many individuals that have gained access to the life-changing speeds that only fiber internet can offer, improving quality of life through an affordable service. With fiber internet only continuing to increase in demand, we will soon have more of a physical presence by expanding to open another office location, welcoming 50+ careers, right here in Berlin.”

GoNetspeed continues to ensure that more communities throughout Connecticut have access to a high-speed 100 percent fiber internet infrastructure. Currently, more than 30 communities across the state have access to GoNetspeed’s service, along with many communities that are well on their way to having access to GoNetspeed’s fiber internet.

With a legacy of innovation and a commitment to customer service, GoNetspeed is excited to accelerate the expansion of its fiber networks throughout nine states, including Connecticut. GoNetspeed continues to deliver more fiber, more access, more speed, and better reliability to residents and businesses throughout our footprint. With access to 100 percent fiber internet, customers have access to symmetrical upload and download speeds, ranging from 500 Mbps to 1 Gbps (1,000 Mbps).
