Citizens for Judicial Fairness Bids Farewell to Twitter as Yet Another Major Company Leaves Delaware Due to Chancery Court Shady Malfeasance

Twitter’s Departure is Latest in a String of High-Profile Exits from the State, and Highlights Businesses’ Frustration with the ‘Delaware Way’

Today, following news Twitter, Inc. has departed Delaware and merged with Nevada-based X Corp, the latest in a series of high-profile exits from the state due to Chancery Court overreach, including TransPerfect and DuPont spinoff Corteva, Citizens for Judicial Fairness released the following statement:

“This is yet another high-water mark for Chancery Court backroom dealing and corruption as it continues to drive away high-profile businesses that employ thousands of people, even as Delaware continues to depend on the incorporation industry for the majority of its tax revenue. We bid adieu to Twitter, which has come to the same conclusion as countless other corporations that it’s impossible to operate within the corrupt and insider-centric ‘Delaware Way,’ where the Chancery Court rubber stamps millions of dollars in unreasonable legal fees to well-connected court insiders and former judges over any and all reasonable objections. We expect more departures to come unless Delaware and its infamous Chancery Court commit to treating businesses and workers with respect rather than as an ATM for white-shoe law firms.”
