GoNetspeed to Equip Thomaston with Future-Proof Fiber Internet

GoNetspeed today announced that Thomaston will soon have access to GoNetspeed’s high-speed 100% fiber internet. Through GoNetspeed’s fully funded investment in Thomaston, a majority of the town’s homes and businesses will have access to future-proof fiber internet by the end of 2023 with construction beginning this fall. Residents and businesses interested in GoNetspeed services may visit gonetspeed.com to indicate interest and receive updates as construction begins.

“Thomaston is grateful for the investment that GoNetspeed is making in our community and in our future,” said Diane Giese, Town of Thomaston Select Board Chair. “With access to a fiber optic infrastructure, our town will be equipped with a network that will support our growth and economic development for years to come.”

“As a company, we have been hard at work to ensure that we can deliver service to as many communities as possible, as quickly as possible,” said Richard Clark, GoNetspeed President and CEO. “By deploying access to service broadly throughout Thomaston, the community will soon have the opportunity to tap into a service that will grow with the community and the ever-evolving needs that we require from our internet service. We are thrilled to be a part of the solution for Thomaston.”

GoNetspeed is continuing to ensure that more communities throughout Maine have access to high-speed, 100% fiber internet. Currently, Auburn, Bangor, Bath, Biddeford, Brewer, Brunswick, Cape Elizabeth, Cumberland, Falmouth, Gorham, Gray, Kennebunk, Lewiston, New Gloucester, Old Orchard Beach, Old Town, Orono, Saco, Scarborough, Topsham, Waterville, Westbrook, Windham, Winslow, and Yarmouth have access to GoNetspeed’s service. Many other communities throughout the state are well on their way to having access to GoNetspeed’s fiber internet.

With a legacy of innovation and a commitment to customer service, GoNetspeed is excited to accelerate the expansion of fiber networks throughout nine states, including Maine.
