Given this year’s shortened holiday shopping window between Thanksgiving and Christmas, DG is already decked out in deals with additional offers to be announced in the coming weeks.

Top Holiday Deals

  • DG Deal Days: On top of everyday low prices on toys, DG Deal Days runs weekly from Halloween to Christmas with promotions including buy one, get one 75% off and save 25% when you spend $75.
  • Stacked Savings: Layer on extra savings with a weekly $5 off $25 and unlock additional digital coupons, DG Cash Back and more on the myDG App.

NEW Holiday Toy Guide

Since 1933, children have used holiday catalogues to build wish lists. On November 1, DG will debut its first printed holiday toy guide with the digitally immersive version launching mid-October, offering customers a more enhanced online experience with engaging content, video and shoppable links with options to ship to home. With 80% of stores in communities of 20,000 or fewer people, DG’s footprint and the guide give brands an opportunity to extend their reach, especially to rural customers who may elude other media.

“Our holiday toy guide is a great opportunity for families to connect, make a list and circle a few extra things they have their eyes on,” said Natalie McConnell, vice president, division merchandise manager. “Our customers pre-plan their shopping trips and having a guide in hand helps ensure their child receives something they really want. We’re excited to offer incredible values on brands kids hope to unwrap this holiday season.”

Dollar General works with national brands to bring low-cost toy options while offering the same play satisfaction for families for less. The guide features items kids love from favorite brands including Disney, Hasbro, LEGO, Mattel and Melissa & Doug.

“The holidays are a special time for families, but we understand it can also bring additional financial pressures,” said Emily Taylor, executive vice president and chief merchandising officer. “We’re committed to affordable options, everyday values and joy priced right for the season to help customers stay within budget.”

The retailer plans to also launch a digital holiday guide featuring beauty and personal care, pet, electronics, home and apparel gifts. For many families across America, Dollar General is the go-to destination for all holiday needs, offering quality items and savings that help families make the most of the season.
