DP World, a global leader in logistics and supply chain solutions, announces the opening of a new freight forwarding office in Bogotá, Colombia. The new location expands DP World’s presence across the Americas, complementing existing operations in Ecuador and Peru and reinforcing the company’s commitment to delivering end-to-end logistics solutions.

The Bogotá office offers a comprehensive suite of services, including FCL (full container load) and LCL (less container load) sea freight, air freight, domestic container road transport, international insurance, and customs services. Aligned with DP World’s long-term strategy, the Bogotá office contributes to the company’s broader mission of enhancing supply chain capabilities across the Americas. The office will leverage advanced technologies like the Cargoes Flow tracking tool, ensuring smooth and efficient logistics management.

Terry Donohoe, Senior Vice President, Freight Forwarding – Americas, DP World, said: “Colombia is a strategic market in Latin America, with a population of 50 million and a rapidly growing economy. We are excited about the opportunities this new office presents for both DP World and our customers. By integrating our logistics services with our port terminals, free zones, and warehousing facilities across the region, we are well-positioned to help Colombian businesses succeed in a highly competitive global market.”

The office is located in an eco-friendly building with an 80-point LEED certification, reflecting DP World's ongoing commitment to its “Our World, Our Future” sustainability strategy and environmentally responsible business practices. DP World will leverage its existing partnerships with the Dubai Chamber and the American Chamber to help promote its logistics services across the region.

Looking ahead, DP World plans to further expand its presence in Colombia, with a commercial office in Medellín set to open in 2025.

Since mid-2023, DP World has launched over 150 new freight forwarding offices globally, with 20 of these strategically placed throughout the Americas. This expansion complements the company’s existing operations in Brazil, Chile, Colombia, the Dominican Republic, Ecuador, Panama, Peru, and Suriname.
