GEICO Philanthropic Foundation extends support to Feeding America with $150,000 donation and community service for #GivingTuesday

Donation will help provide over 1.5 million meals, employees engaging in nationwide volunteer efforts

The GEICO Philanthropic Foundation has announced a $150,000 donation to long-time community partner Feeding America®, reinforcing its commitment to fighting hunger across America. This #GivingTuesday contribution builds on a successful three-year partnership that has helped provide over seven million meals to communities nationwide.

As part of GEICO's commitment to volunteerism through its GEICO Cares program, employees across the country are sorting donations, packing food boxes and supporting food distributions at their local Feeding America partner food banks through Dec. 6.

LaDonna Bond, who leads social impact and philanthropic initiatives at GEICO, said, "For over three years, our partnership with Feeding America has allowed our company and employees to support food banks that help members of our communities facing food insecurity. In this season of giving, GEICO and the GEICO Philanthropic Foundation are proud to continue our partnership with Feeding America, and we look forward to continuing to do our part to help those in need and end hunger for all."

The foundation's latest donation to Feeding America will help provide food to their network of food banks, food pantries, and community-based organizations working to end hunger. GEICO will also continue to provide Feeding America community service opportunities for employees at all locations, including food donation drives at GEICO offices.

Since 2021, GEICO has partnered with Feeding America to provide relief to people facing hunger through the company's March Out Hunger campaign, providing over seven million meals through employee donations and over $600,000 from the GEICO Philanthropic Foundation.

"We are grateful for GEICO's dedicated partnership, which for years has helped people facing hunger access the food and resources they say they need to thrive. This latest Giving Tuesday donation helps bring us closer to our vision of an America where no one is hungry," said Lauren Biedron, Feeding America's senior vice president of corporate partnerships.

The GEICO Philanthropic Foundation strives to support organizations that provide programs and resources to help strengthen diverse communities across the country through community funding. Learn more about the GEICO Philanthropic Foundation at GEICO.com/philanthropic-foundation.
