Swoop is pleased to announce the appointment of Cameron Hyzer as Chief Financial Officer, effective December 2, 2024. In his role, he will oversee Swoop's financial strategies and will lead the finance organization, including planning, analysis, treasury, accounting, reporting, tax, and investor relations.
“As Swoop embarks on this exciting new chapter as an independent company, Cameron’s arrival couldn't be more timely,” said Ron Elwell, Co-Founder of Swoop. “Cameron’s exceptional track record in scaling high-growth organizations, navigating transformative mergers and acquisitions, and guiding companies through the complexities of going public aligns perfectly with Swoop’s ambitions. His leadership will be instrumental as we revolutionize omnichannel healthcare engagement while delivering exceptional value to our clients and stakeholders.”
Cameron brings more than 25 years of experience to the organization, having previously driven financial strategies for leading software and data companies. Most recently, he served as the CFO of ZoomInfo for six years, where he oversaw the company’s initial public offering during the COVID-19 pandemic – the first of its kind for a software company – and helped grow annualized revenue from $150 million to $1.2 billion. His tenure included orchestrating large-scale acquisitions, optimizing profitability and cashflow at scale, and navigating the complexities of transformational growth.
“I'm thrilled to join Swoop at such a pivotal moment,” said Cameron Hyzer. “The opportunity to help scale an innovative company that empowers healthcare marketers to connect with audiences through privacy-first, data-driven strategies is incredibly exciting. I’m eager to contribute to Swoop’s mission of creating a future where technology seamlessly connects patients and healthcare providers along their health journey, while driving sustainable and profitable growth for investors and employees alike.”
Prior to ZoomInfo, Cameron served as Executive Managing Director and Chief Financial Officer at Eze Software Group, where he played a key role in the financial carve-out of Eze and its subsequent acquisition by SS&C. Earlier in his career, he held finance leadership positions at Thomson Financial, Benchmarking Partners, and Cramer Systems, as well as in investment banking and private equity.
Cameron holds a B.S. in Economics, cum laude, from the Wharton School at the University of Pennsylvania, and a B.S. in Electrical Engineering, cum laude, from the School of Engineering and Applied Science at the University of Pennsylvania. He is also a Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) charterholder.
