New Special Now Available Details Lisa McVey’s Abduction and Escape in 1984 from Infamous Serial Killer Bobby Joe Long

FOX Nation will debut Surviving a Serial Killer hosted by FOX News Channel’s (FNC) Harris Faulkner today, Tuesday, April 30. The new three-part series details the 1984 abduction and escape of then 17-year-old Lisa McVey.

Faulkner will share an inside look at how McVey, was raped and tortured for 26 harrowing hours, escaped and helped put a bloodthirsty killer, behind bars.

A victim of abuse throughout her childhood, McVey’s story was met with disbelief after escaping her kidnapper, Bobby Joe Long. McVey left behind pieces of her hair and other items as a trail of evidence for police. Tampa, Florida police officers and investigators say they would not have caught Long, who was found to be a serial killer, including two murders after her kidnapping, without McVey’s detailed memory and evidence. Now a motivational speaker and Tampa based Sheriff’s Deputy, McVey has devoted her life to protecting other victims.
