‘Field Trip with Curtis Stone’ Hong Kong Episode Airs on PBS’ Create Network June 1
From Michelin-star and world-renowned restaurants to flavor-filled street food stalls, Hong Kong is home to some of the most diverse culinary experiences in the world. Australian celebrity Chef Curtis Stone recently visited Hong Kong to film the third season of his show on America’s PBS, “Field Trip with Curtis Stone,” to explore Asia’s top culinary destination. The episode, an exclusive 1-hour standalone special, will immerse viewers in the best of Hong Kong’s culinary community through Michelin-starred Chef Curtis Stone’s eyes. During his visit to Hong Kong, he explored countless dining options around the city, fishing villages, and more, that offer everything from traditional Cantonese cuisine to innovative fusion dishes. The episode is scheduled to air on Create Network June 1, 2024 at 5pm ET and 10pm ET in 350 markets as well as airing on select PBS stations and the PBS app. The episode will stream on Peacock in July 2024. Create Network is a PBS affiliate station available on cable and streaming in select markets.

In the Hong Kong episode of “Field Trip with Curtis Stone”, Curtis Stone takes viewers through his epic culinary journey:
Day 1: Chef ArChan Chan of Ho Lee Fook takes Curtis to Saam Hui Yaat, her favorite spot for dim sum, where the master has been at it for forty years. Curtis then explores Tai O, the fishing village on the western side of Lantau Island, where he cures duck eggs with an octogenarian and meets Mr. Lee and his father, who are the last two makers of shrimp paste on the island.
Day 2: Curtis visits Kung Wo Beancurd Factory in the Sham Shui Po neighborhood, where Renee So made a bold decision to leave her finance career behind and join her father in running the family business. Afterward, Michelin-starred chef Vicky Cheng strolls Des Voeux Road, introducing Curtis to the delicacies of dried seafood before they head back to his restaurant, VEA, to compose a dish featuring dried sea cucumber. Finally, Curtis receives a bruising from Master Sam Lau, a martial arts legend whose most famous student was Bruce Lee.
Day 3: Chef ArChan Chan journeys with Curtis to the live seafood markets on the boardwalk of Sai Kung before heading back to Ho Lee Fook for a lesson behind the wok.
As the episode closes out, Curtis sails on an iconic red junk boat in Victoria Harbor overlooking the skyline and reminiscing on all the food, sights and friends he encountered during his time in Hong Kong.
