1Password Launches Dedicated MSP Solution in Beta

Multi-tenant offering drives efficiency and profitability for managed service providers

1Password, provider of the most-used enterprise password manager, today announced the launch of 1Password® Enterprise Password Manager - Partner Edition in beta. This managed service provider (MSP) solution includes advanced administration features that help MSPs manage their customers. On the heels of its global partner program launch earlier this year, 1Password’s solution helps MSPs proactively protect their clients by improving their security posture.

“A significant challenge for MSPs is helping their customers defend against advanced security threats, putting significant pressure on them to expand the capabilities of the security products and services they provide to their customers,” said Jason Eberhardt, global vice president of MSP channel at 1Password. “By empowering MSPs to offer 1Password to their clients, we’re helping our partners deliver the strongest access management solutions to their customers, while enabling them to scale and grow.”

1Password’s 2024 State of Enterprise Security report found that 79% of security professionals don’t feel their security protections are adequate. For MSPs, integrating technology solutions from various vendors can be a complex and time-consuming process, hindering partners’ operational efficiency and productivity in servicing their clients.

Backed by our unique, industry-leading security model, 1Password® Enterprise Password Manager - Partner Edition safeguards clients with the highest level of security while helping MSPs scale and manage clients efficiently with:

  • A centralized console for access and controls:
    • Administer multiple clients – including configuring managed accounts, accessing client instances, and unlinking them when necessary – through a single, intuitive admin console for MSPs.
    • Stay secure and compliant with industry regulations and policies using granular controls for clients.
  • Integrations with existing client solutions:
    • Streamline secure access with the client’s existing identity provider and provision users from their directory, including the creation and removal of client users and groups.
    • Consolidate 1Password managed account activity, such as login attempts or item usage, into preferred SIEM tools like Datadog, Sumo Logic, Panther, and Splunk using the 1Password Events API.
  • Streamlined billing, licensing, and reporting to improve operational efficiency:
    • Consumption-based billing lets MSPs begin generating client revenue from day one.
    • Aggregated billing information and audit reporting across all managed companies directly to the MSP, saving time and effort.

As part of the global partner program, MSPs also receive dedicated partner support, 1Password Business licenses for internal use, and a strong partner compensation model.
