Theoria Management, LLC (“Theoria” or the “Company”), an innovative, tech-enabled management service organization providing for the delivery of high-quality, value-based primary care services to senior living communities across the United States, today announced it has appointed Kevin Murphy and Peter Neupert to its Board of Directors, effective immediately. The appointments come shortly following Theoria’s acquisition by Amulet Capital Partners, a middle-market private equity investment firm focused exclusively on the healthcare sector.
Mr. Murphy and Mr. Neupert bring significant operational and leadership experience to Theoria’s Board. Over the course of his career, Mr. Murphy has held senior executive positions building and leading organizations that deliver value-based primary and specialty care services to high-risk, elderly populations. Mr. Neupert is a highly experienced executive leader in the health care technology space, advising a broad range of tech-enabled health care companies as a board member. Together, they will work closely with Theoria’s Board and management team to support the Company’s patient care and growth objectives, including investing further in Theoria’s differentiated clinical and operational efforts to drive improved offerings and outcomes within the post-acute care sector.
“I am thrilled to welcome Kevin and Peter to Theoria as we enter our next chapter of growth in partnership with Amulet,” said Justin Di Rezze, MD, Founder and Chief Executive Officer of Theoria. “Their unique experience building successful businesses and consistent focus on driving better outcomes for patients through innovation and technology is closely aligned with our mission to revolutionize healthcare for senior living communities across the country. I look forward to working closely with Kevin, Peter, and the entire Board to continue strengthening the Theoria platform and providing more patients with excellent care.”
“This is an exciting moment for Theoria as we continue to grow our industry-leading team and suite of services across the care continuum,” said Carl Zimmerman, Partner at Amulet. “I’ve had the distinct pleasure of working with both Kevin and Peter throughout my career. Their unique perspectives and experience leading rapidly growing organizations in both technology-enablement and value-based care will be invaluable as we continue to enhance our operational and clinical infrastructure to meet the growing demand for high-quality senior care in the United States.”
“Having spent more than a decade in the value-based and senior home care industries, it is clear to me that Theoria’s innovative, tech-enabled approach is setting a new standard for improving access and delivering best-in-class patient care for seniors,” said Mr. Murphy. “As the country’s population continues to age and the number of high-acuity patients in senior communities in need of comprehensive care continues to grow, I am eager to support the team’s efforts to be the partner and provider of choice for these communities.”
“Theoria’s ability to combine a deep understanding of the health care needs of seniors with a technology-focused approach has been highly successful in solving some of the biggest challenges facing providers across the industry today,” said Mr. Neupert. “I am excited to join such a thoughtful, talented team and look forward to leveraging my experiences in health care technology to help bring Theoria’s fully integrated model of care to more patients.”
