Job Description
The Restoration Technician – Mitigation will be part of the Water Damage 24 Little Rock rapid response team, addressing urgent calls to assess damage, halt ongoing issues, and initiate immediate mitigation efforts. The primary objective is to restore clients’ homes or businesses to a safe and functional state as swiftly as possible. Key responsibilities include:
- Water Mitigation: Extracting standing water, lifting carpets from flooded areas, and cutting drywall to prevent mold growth in compliance with Arkansas Department of Environmental Quality (ADEQ) guidelines.
- Flooring Removal: Removing damaged flooring to prepare for repairs, ensuring compliance with standards set by the Arkansas Contractors Licensing Board.
- Furniture Relocation: Safely moving and protecting furniture to minimize further damage and create a safe working environment.
- Equipment Setup: Installing dehumidifiers, air movers, and other drying equipment sourced from local suppliers.
- Demolition & Cleanup: Performing demolition tasks, removing debris, and ensuring compliance with local building and development standards through the City of Little Rock Building & Development.
- Moisture Measurements: Utilizing specialized tools to measure moisture levels and prevent secondary damage.
- Documentation: Recording job details in industry-specific software and capturing photographs for reference.
Key Responsibilities:
- Execute water mitigation and demolition tasks promptly and safely.
- Set up and dismantle restoration equipment efficiently.
- Maintain a clean and debris-free job site.
- Accurately measure and record moisture levels.
- Utilize restoration software to log project details and track progress.
- Collaborate with team members to ensure timely and effective project completion.
Schedule:
- Typical Hours: Monday to Friday, 7:30 AM – 5:00 PM
- Overtime: May include nights, weekends, and some holidays
- On-Call: Required
