WINNIPEG, MB: Clairissa Cruz, the founder and owner of Bare Body Sugaring, officially launched RA Sugar Co, her new at-home self-care line, at Winnipeg’s largest Christmas market, Third + Bird. RA Sugar Co introduced a selection of premium, hand-crafted body sugar products, perfect for keeping skin smooth and soft without harsh chemicals during the holiday season or any time of year.
From humble beginnings, Clairissa Cruz built Bare Body Sugaring over the past sixteen years from a one-woman business operating out of her home into a successful sugaring company with four Winnipeg locations (Academy Road, Barberry Road, Henderson Highway, and Bridgwater). Focused exclusively on body sugaring services that gently remove hair from every part of the body, Bare fosters a welcoming, inclusive environment that foregrounds its clients’ natural beauty regardless of age, gender, or ethnicity.
An homage to RA, the Egyptian deity of the sun who brought light and warmth to the world, RA Sugar Co’s products were designed to bring a natural smoothness and glow to the skin. Led by Clairissa, the RA Sugar Co team spent more than a year refining a carefully curated selection of at-home sugaring and skin care products, including body oil, body scrub, and an exfoliating ingrown solution spray. All RA Sugar Co products were locally handcrafted and struck a perfect balance between natural ingredients, science-backed formulas, and playful scent stories.
Clairissa and the RA Sugar Co team were thrilled to officially launch their line of self-care products at Winnipeg’s largest Christmas market, Third + Bird. The much-anticipated annual event ran from Friday, November 22, to Sunday, November 24, 2024, at Red River Exhibition Park (3977 Portage Ave.). This year’s market featured a live DJ and 170 vendors, including RA Sugar Co.
