From November 17 to November 23, 2024, the Great Shu Road Cultural Tourism Week will be held in Jiange County, Guangyuan City, Sichuan Province, China. With the theme "Discover the Jianmen Shu Road, Embrace the Enchanting Guangyuan," the event features 11 meticulously planned activities. This comprehensive event integrates culture, tourism, cuisine, and trade, showcasing Guangyuan's strengths in cultural and tourism resources, infrastructure, industrial potential, and business environment. The aim is to attract more visitors to explore the Shu Road and enjoy Guangyuan, while collaborating with renowned cultural and tourism enterprises, experts, industry associations, and financial institutions to advance the development of the cultural tourism industry. The event seeks to foster new business models, innovations, and dynamics, accelerating Guangyuan's transformation into an international cultural tourism destination and wellness resort along the Great Shu Road.

As a shining gem of Shu Road culture, Guangyuan boasts a profound cultural heritage and unique folk traditions. During the event week, Jiange in Guangyuan will host a series of themed activities, such as the "Explore the Majestic Jianmen Pass and Experience Shu Road Culture" tour, the "Seven Days of Folk Fun at Jianmen Pass" cultural performances, and the mass recitation of "The Hard Road to Shu" to promote traditional Chinese culture. These activities will allow visitors to experience the grandeur and magnificence of Jianmen Pass, appreciate the charm of Chinese cultural heritage, and immerse themselves in the deep cultural essence of Guangyuan.

A highlight of the event is the 2024 Guangyuan Cultural and Tourism Development Conference and International Travel Trade Conference, which has attracted representatives from over 30 international travel agencies, including those from Russia, South Korea, and Malaysia, as well as over 700 prominent domestic travel agencies will visit iconic Shu Road landmarks such as Jianmen Pass, Cuiyun Corridor, Mingyue Gorge, Zhaohua Ancient City, and Qingxi Ancient City. These visits aim to provide first-hand experiences and deeper insights into Guangyuan's rich history and stunning landscapes. This initiative fosters dialogue and collaboration between Guangyuan's cultural tourism sector and the global tourism industry, enhancing the international recognition and reputation of the Great Shu Road.

Praised as one of China's most spectacular landscapes, the Shu Road has captivated countless poets and literati throughout history. Among the most celebrated is Tang Dynasty poet Li Bai's "The Hard Road to Shu," a masterpiece that not only represents the excellence of traditional Chinese culture but also holds a significant place in the world's literary treasury.
