NFM Lending Donates more than $18,000 in Champions for Charity Initiative

After launching the Champions for Charity initiative in August of 2023, the Great Lakes Division of NFM Lending has donated $18,500 to charities throughout Ohio. These donations have been made to 19 charities, from Be the One, to the LENN Foundation and A Kid Again.

“Champions for Charity has been a great success in uplifting local charities while allowing our mortgage advisors to continue to boost service and experience for our clients and partners,” said Daniel Sa, President of the Great Lakes Division of NFM. “We will continue this initiative in 2024 and look forward to continuing support of more charities and communities.”

To instill a deeper sense of purpose within the team and make a significant impact on the community, NFM initiated a sales contest called "Champions for Charity." Through this initiative, loan originators select charities that hold special meaning to them and then compete in their favor. NFM Lending committed to donating between $500 and $1,500 to each chosen charity, provided the loan originator met prescribed criteria.

“Donations like the ones from NFM Lending help our applicants realize treatments and experiences they otherwise may not have been able to afford,” said Alycia Turley, Co-Founder of The LENN Foundation.

Charities that have been helped to date include:

  • Down Syndrome Association of Central Ohio (DSACO)
  • Justice for Sierah
  • You Can You Will Foundation
  • K9s for Warriors
  • A Kid Again
  • Curefest
  • Be the One
  • Seeds of Caring
  • Toledo Football Academy
  • Lenn Foundation
  • Jordan's Crossing
  • Lucas County Medical Alliance
  • Lower Lights Ministry
  • The Realists
  • Columbus Humane
  • Brightside Child & Family Advocacy
  • Rockford Homeless Program

“It’s amazing to see the reaction from the charities we’re helping,” said Justus Sharp, branch manager at NFM Lending. “Our branch has long supported Jordan’s Crossing in other ways, but the opportunity to provide them with a donation and the opportunity to talk about their organization to a wider audience, meant so much to them.”

Champions for Charity stands as a testament to NFM Lending's commitment to nurturing a culture of collaboration and best practices, all the while underscoring the significance of supporting community needs.
