Cybersecurity Course For Non-IT Staff CompTIA Security+ Certification Announced

Tech Training 360 is now offering a cybersecurity course for non-IT staff who need to obtain CompTIA Security+ certification.

In their 2024 Data Breach Investigation Report, Verizon revealed that 68% of all breaches involved a non-malicious human element—meaning a person falling victim to a social engineering attack or making an error. As such, Tech Training 360 has seen that there is a growing need for cybersecurity awareness, which is why they developed their cybersecurity course for non-IT employees.

Tech Training 360 appreciates that non-IT staff often lack the knowledge and training to recognize and prevent cyber threats, which is precisely why they are commonly the target of phishing and social engineering attacks. Therefore, their cybersecurity course was designed to educate employees on basic cybersecurity principles, so that they can efficiently identify and respond to threats, and obtain the globally recognized CompTIA Security+ certification.

“This program will ensure that all employees, including those in non-IT roles, are educated and certified in foundational cybersecurity principles through the CompTIA Security+ certification,” explains Chrys Thorsen, course instructor. “This certification covers essential topics such as network security, compliance and operational security, threats and vulnerabilities, application, data, and host security, access control, and identity management.”

The course is practical and collaborative, simulating real-world scenarios such as phishing attacks and helping teams to develop a sense of shared responsibility.

Chrys Thorsen believes that with CompTIA Security+ training and certification for all employees, businesses can:

- create a workforce in which everyone can contribute to the defense against cyber threats;

- reduce human error and cybersecurity incidents, which lowers recovery costs;

- build a culture of cybersecurity awareness and vigilance; and

- ensure compliance with cybersecurity regulations.

She adds, “CompTIA Security+ certification equips non-IT employees with the knowledge to recognize and respond to security threats—so they are no longer a security risk, but valuable assets in actively maintaining cybersecurity.”

Tech Training 360’s course is available to teams across departments, regardless of size, and adaptable to region-specific regulations.
