According to a study by the Cleveland Clinic, dirty towels harbor a huge variety of microbes and have been linked to the spread of infectious diseases. A staggering 90% of bathroom towels are also contaminated with coliform bacteria and dust mites, which can cause allergic reactions and aggravate pre-existing health conditions such as asthma. With these insights in mind, the 1aDay Bath Towel was made to minimize exposure to disease, infection, and dust mites while promoting cleanliness and hygiene.
Consumers who decide to support the campaign will receive a two-towel set. The towels are clearly labeled with the days of the week, indicating when they should be used. For example, the first towel is designated Sunday through Wednesday, and the second Thursday through Saturday, with one extra section.
"In the course of our research, we were alarmed to discover that people used the same bath towel for over a week (sometimes a month) before putting it in the laundry," says Alan Leon, creator of 1aDay Bath Towel. "We fix this problem by giving customers two towels clearly labeled with the days of the week, so they never use the same spot to clean more than once. This way, they leave the bathroom feeling fresh and rejuvenated."
The fundraiser's goal is to sell 500 sets of towels in order to meet the manufacturer's Minimum Order Quantity (MOQ) requirements. To incentivize donations, the team is offering an Early Bird special with 23% off the retail price, and a Super Early Bird special with a 30% reduced price.
The towels measure 27 by 54 inches, weigh 600 GSM, and are made of 100% cotton for greater absorbency. Orders placed now can be shipped at no cost to the United States starting in August.
