The scented candles in The Hundredth Acre’s expanded range are all hand-poured in Laguna Beach using 100% natural clean-burning soy wax derived from soybeans grown in the U.S. The candles get their scents from phthalate-free fragrance oil and have burn times of approximately 50 hours.

Each candle The Hundredth Acre produces is inspired by a memory, feeling, object, or location. “All of our candles, first and foremost, are tributes to Laguna Beach,” explains Kirsten “Kiki” Montgomery, owner of the company. “But we also want them to ignite change, reflection, and the rebuilding of strength and determination every time they are burned.”
During this time of year, The Hundredth Acre’s most popular scented candles are its Fresh, Citrus, and Floral collections. The candles in these collections have lighter, airier fragrances, ranging from grapefruit and orange to lavender and agave.
For the colder months, The Hundredth Acre offers its Fall, Earthy, and Woody collections. These candles are a bit spicier and muskier and draw a lot of inspiration from nature. Bestsellers in these collections include the Sandpiper and Redwood Candles and the Petrichor Candle, which emits a unique post-rain smell.
Customers wanting longer-lasting candles with enhanced scents also have a few triple-wick candles to choose from. The Hundredth Acre has four scents in its triple wick collection — Used Book Store, Main Beach, Walk in the Woods, and Petrichor. Unlike the single-wick candles, these triple-wick candles have burn times of approximately 60 hours.
