Guinness World Records™ title Set by Tacos Together and Moxie Blankets

Utah, United States - 11-16-2022 (PR Distribution™) -

On September 15, 2022 Tacos Together  and Moxie Weighted Blankets along with other local Utah businesses teamed up to bring the community together in an attempt to break the Guinness world record for the largest blanket fort ever made.  On November 8, 2022 Paul Shin, Founder of Tacos together received the official email from Guinness World Records that the attempt was successful and the companies now hold the Guinness World Record for the Largest Blanket Fort built in the world.

The massive blanket fort measured in at 9935.3 square feet and was no small task. Tote-a-Fort kindly donated their Velcro blankets for the ceiling of the fort and the sides of the fort were covered by donated blankets from the community. Those blankets were later donated to the Road Home homeless shelter.

“The idea started over Memorial Day Weekend when our plans changed, and my kids decided we should have a movie day, but they wanted to have it in a blanket fort. We headed to Home Depot and bought some PVC pipe. Soon after that the fort was done, and we were watching movies in it! It wasn’t long after that the idea to break the world record came into view.” Paul Shin, Founder of Tacos Together

It was shortly after that, Jami Furniss- founder of Moxie Weighted Blankets reached out to Paul about putting together an event. After about 5 minutes on the call, Paul knew Moxie Weighted Blankets would be the perfect partner for building the World’s largest blanket fort and he pitched the idea to Jami. She was immediately on board and the magic started to happen.

“Breaking a world record is something that not many people get to check off their bucket list so when Paul pitched the idea to me, I knew right away that I was all in. The fact that we were able to Make A Wish happen for Lincoln and donate so many blankets to the Road Home made it so much better than I could have imagined. We have such a great community of people that attended. It was a great success in more ways than one.” Stated Jami Furniss, Founder of Moxie Blankets
