Sick-Kit Sees Major Sales Growth

By: PRLog

Proprietors Set Up Fulfillment Center for Online Sales and Hire Brick-and-Mortar Sales Rep; U.S. Patent Office Grants Trademark

ALBANY, N.Y. - March 21, 2022 - PRLog -- The Sick-Kit™ is seeing unprecedented sales growth and marking two milestones in its history as a business.

"It's been an insanely busy year so far," said Teri Eastwood, one half of the husband-and-wife team that created The Sick-Kit. "We've had some amazing growth."

The Eastwoods are selling 60 to 100 of the kits A DAY, Teri said, representing a 200 percent increase over last year. Seasonal colds and flu, as well as the Covid 19 pandemic, seem to be largely responsible for the rise in sales.

And the Eastwoods want to do good while doing well: The couple have hired ADK of Queensbury, N.Y., to provide fulfillment—product storage and shipping support. Through Community, Work & Independence, a Glens Falls, N.Y., nonprofit, ADK employs workers with special needs to pack the kits for shipment directly to Amazon, one of the Eastwoods' sales channels.

"It's a great partnership we're glad to have been able to establish," Teri Eastwood said.

In addition, Teri and Scott Eastwood have brought on a sales representative to help market to brick-and-mortar stores, colleges, and other business and institutional customers.

"We're hoping to capture more offline business to complement our booming online presence," Teri said.

Another major development: The Eastwoods have received the trademark for The Sick-Kit™ from the U.S. Patent Office. Trademarking a product name and logo provides protection from counterfeits, copycats and fraud.

In recent months, the Eastwoods have created a sharper look for The Sick-Kit™ and revised the content of the kits to serve customers better.

The Eastwoods debuted The Original Sick-Kit™ in 2017. The couple also own and operate The Plantkeeper, a landscaping business, from their Saratoga County, N.Y., home.

The full line of Sick-Kits includes the Original Sick-Kit, Sick-Kits for Hangovers and PMS, and vegetarian/ gluten-free and diabetic versions. Each version of The Sick-Kit contains specialized products for its target ailments. All of the versions are on the Sick-Kit website, TheSick-Kit.com, via Shopify, on Amazon (Just search for "The Sick Kit" in Amazon's search engine), and on Etsy.com.

Galway, N.Y.-based Scott and Teri have appeared on WTEN News10 in Albany and in Saratoga Living magazine. Ads for the Sick-Kit have appeared in the Times Union of Albany and related publications. In addition to the website, The Sick-Kit is on Facebook. News about the Sick-Kit has appeared in print, online and in broadcast media nationwide.
