Pink and Main participates in 'Hero' interview and helps NC hurricane victims

By: PRLog

Owner inspires, describes journey on podcast crafting series plus donates to nonprofit

PALMETTO, Fla. - Nov. 6, 2024 - PRLog -- Pink and Main, a papercrafting, stamping and cardmaking business, is in the spotlight of late participating in a popular podcast series and running a disaster relief fundraising campaign.

A standout in the papercrafting industry, Pink and Main founder Michelle Currie was interviewed recently for the Hanging with Hero podcast series along with fellow craft artist and owner Christopher Alan of Brutus Monroe.

"It was such an honor to participate in this series with Christopher where the hosts Aaron Leventhal and Jennifer McGuire talk with crafty friends throughout the industry," Currie said. "We learn so much from each other, which helps all of us grow and learn to be even more creative and innovative with stamping and cardmaking whether we are directly in the business or participate in crafting for the joy of it."

Currie's love of crafting began as a child – a hobby she parlayed into a full-blown business called Pink and Main in 2014. Today, she is the owner and creative director of Pink and Main, running a warehouse and storefront in Palmetto, Florida.

The podcast interview is part of Hero Arts' 50th anniversary celebration.

Currie is also proud that her entrepreneurial spirit and love of the craft that she shares with her creative fans could help hurricane victims in North Carolina.

"In October we ran a fundraising campaign featuring our Stained Glass View card panels, letting our customers know that if they purchased the product, the monies would go to a nonprofit in North Carolina to help with hurricane relief," Currie said. "The response was immediate, and it was so heartwarming to see our fans contribute."

In the monthly Pink and Main newsletter and on its website, Currie thanked everyone who participated in the campaign. "Because of you, we were able to write a check for $3,609 to the Reconciliation House, who will use 100% of the funds for the hurricane relief in the North Carolina area."
