How To Compare TV and Internet Deals

By: Get News
Choosing a tv and internet package will come down to what is best for you, not what is best for the company.

The way we watch television has been turned upside down. Though some form of the cable has been available since HBO debuted in the early 1970s, the majority of the country has been limited to basic viewing for decades. This included the three “big” broadcasters (CBS, ABC, and NBC) as well as any local channels that were available.

Today, you can choose from a variety of television packages that provide access to hundreds of channels. The Internet has also had a significant impact on how we entertain ourselves. In fact, bundling your television and Internet (along with your phone) services is fairly common.

How do you compare TV and Internet bundles?

Bundles include a variety of features based on installation, speeds, contract lengths, and pricing. Verizon Fios, AT&T, DISH, Spectrum, and Cox Communications all provide them. Sony has even entered the fray with PlayStation VUE. AT&T’s DIRECTV service offers packages in English, Spanish, and other languages. Seasonal packages are available for sports fans. There are more options for “anywhere” television, which means you can watch on the go using your computer, tablet, phone, or even watch.

Choosing a tv and internet package will come down to what is best for you, not what is best for the company.

Convenient Service

A bundle simplifies a process that would otherwise require three separate operations. As opposed to multiple appointments, there is only one installation. You have a single point of contact for issues and questions. With a bundle, you only have one provider, which means you’ll have a better idea of what kind of customer service to expect regardless of the problem because you’ll be familiar with your provider’s processes.

Savings on expenses

One of the most important considerations when selecting a bundle is the price. Spreading your TV, Internet, and phone services across multiple providers means multiple bills and, most likely, higher fees. Bundles can be economical because providers offer discounted rates in order to compete. Many of these package providers will even offer to freeze your rates for a set period of time, typically two years, if you agree to stay with them.

Billing and payments also are easier to manage

You most likely have more than enough bills as it is. A bundle takes what could be three bills and reduces them to one for the household. A bundle saves you time by eliminating the need to track three bills and write multiple checks. Spectrum for example , where you can check your bills in my spectrum page.

The Double Play Bundle

A “Double Play” bundle is any two services from the three options: TV, Internet, and phone service. The Double Play is the combination of TV and Internet, or Internet and phone service, or TV and phone service, with the goal of saving money over purchasing two separate services. Of course, you can have one or two of the services. Bundling two or more services, on the other hand, has become a natural way to save money on both services in today’s world.

The Triple Play Bundle

The major players in the game provide a three-in-one package. The “Triple Play” bundle is an Internet-telephone-television package that is cheaper than three separate services, or even two. Of course, you can have one or two of the services. However, in today’s world, all three have become a necessary and expected part of our daily lives. As a result, having all three in one package makes sense.

So, what is the best option for you?

You must make a choice based on what you want from your bundle. They all provide HBO and CBS, sports and foreign-language programming, voice messaging, and some form of Internet access. What you want to do is figure out what you require those packages to do. If you run a home business or spend a lot of time on the phone, you may want to invest in a high-quality communications system. That includes voice mail, caller ID, call waiting, and other features. Will you spend more time in front of the television? What kinds of shows and channels do you like to watch?

In the average home, different people have different ideas about what’s worth watching, necessitating a diverse selection that includes Tom And Jerry, reality television like the Housewives, and premium and original programming from HBO. You will also most likely want a service that allows you to watch on your devices, which means the home will require a reliable wireless connection. Depending on where you live, your options may even be limited, forcing you to make difficult decisions.

It all comes down to your budget and lifestyle. When selecting a bundle, you don’t just want to compare prices and customer service. You should also consider what you want from your television, phone, and Internet connections. What is it worth to have your favorite channels or to be able to call family and friends who live outside of the country? If you have teenagers and children in the house, you may require a faster, more secure, and powerful Internet connection that does not slow down based on the number of users online.
