Chris Shows you the World: what should ordinary people do, as prices soar in the United States

There is a famous saying that inflation is robbing the poor,This is the most appropriate statement for American society right now. With inflation and soaring prices, the average American is facing a triple whammy of soaring rent, prices and electricity bills.Rents across the United States hit a record $1,792 last month, up 17 percent from last year. In addition to rent, heat, electricity and transportation costs are soaring too.

Many New Yorkers will be surprised to notice that their electricity bills have more than tripled this winter. With recent tensions between Russia and Ukraine and the U.S. ban on Russian oil, gasoline prices are likely to remain high for an indefinite period of time.Statistics alone can’t tell the severity of the situation, so let’s make an analogy.

If you are an ordinary American working class, unless you can get a promotion, a pay raise, or a policy-based large subsidies during this period, your wealth, even your accumulation of many years will be swallowed up, in the face of this horrible inflation.

The current president, Mr Biden, has been calling this a “temporary” price rise, which is caused by the Russian-Ukrainian conflict and supply chain stockpiling. But for ordinary Americans, the nightmare of inflation seems to have no end. The anger with Mr Biden and his Democratic Party was fully released in the mid-term elections. Forty-eight percent of voters said Republicans would do a better job of controlling inflation, compared with just 27 percent who trusted Democrats would. But will a midterm election alone change the status quo on U.S. inflation? No, it can’t be simply by an election or a change of president.

For a long time, both Donald Trump and Joe Biden have been struggling to win the current election via giving more money to the people , But it’s like drinking poison to quench a thirst. But nothing helped when American politicians and capitalists are talking so much. Who would consider that ordinary people have to cost $100 to buy a steak ?
