Pasadena,United States - January 6, 2023 /PressCable/ —
Integrity College of Health has announced they are now offering a new Veterinary Assistant (VA) certificate program, designed to be completed in as few as 35 weeks. The VA program will begin on February 14, 2023 for evening classes and February 28, 2023 for morning/afternoon classes.
Located in Pasadena, California, ICH offers career training programs for several healthcare careers; the new Veterinary Assistant certificate program will add to ICH’s profile of programs. ICH’s Veterinary Program Director, Sharon Willis, introduced the new program, saying, “We are proud to offer a Veterinary Assistant program to the Pasadena community. This exceptional program will provide students the opportunity to work in an expanding field in a hands-on learning environment .”
Veterinary assistants are specially trained to provide critical assistance and support to veterinarians, and veterinary technologists and technicians, and scientists as a vital part of the veterinary team. The Veterinary Assistant certificate program at ICH is designed to teach students the theoretical knowledge and practical hands-on skills to potentially enter this rewarding field. Through the Veterinary Assistant program, students learn to prepare veterinary exam rooms, maintain and sterilize surgical instruments, intake animals for exams, feed, bathe, and exercise animals, safely restrain animals during procedures, care for and monitor animals before and after surgery or treatment, give medications, and administer immunizations.
The Veterinary Assistant certificate program is 35 weeks long, and graduates receive a Certificate of Completion, Veterinary Assistant Diploma. ICH’s VA program provides hands-on training so that students gain practice in real life situations, rather than learning just from textbooks. Students receive a combination of quality curriculum delivered by experienced faculty, and hands-on practical experience in on-campus labs and through an externship. Students graduate from the program with the theoretical knowledge and practical skills needed to potentially enter the veterinary field in entry-level veterinary assistant positions.
ICH is licensed by the Bureau for Private Postsecondary Education (BPPE), and is institutionally accredited by the Accrediting Bureau of Health Education Schools (ABHES), an accrediting agency recognized by the United States Department of Education. Accreditation and approval guarantees students, faculty and the public that the programs at ICH meet objective and rigorous third-party standards of educational practices.
Integrity College of Health offers hybrid, hands-on, and online classes to train students for healthcare careers in a short amount of time. Hands-on training from industry professional faculty prepares students for success in their chosen healthcare careers upon graduation.
