London Arthrosamid Injection For Knee Pain Relief At Private Clinic Announced

The London Cartilage Clinic (0207 9657268), a private cartilage clinic with a focus on non-surgical and regenerative treatments, has announced Arthrosamid treatments for knee pain, administered by an in-house specialist.

London, United Kingdom - April 20, 2023

The London Cartilage Clinic has expanded its fast-access program for patients with knee pain or injuries, which allows them to receive near-immediate treatment from a local specialist, with no referral required.

The updated fast access program allows patients to schedule their own appointments, either online through the clinic’s website or over the phone. Self-scheduled appointments can be made for Arthrosamid injections, specialist consultations, diagnostic scans, and a range of other cartilage treatments offered at the clinic.

While there are many treatments currently available for the most common causes of knee pain, research suggests that Arthrosamid may be the first single-injection therapy with the potential to provide permanent relief. A spokesperson explained, “Arthosamid® is a non-degradable hydrogel that can efficiently cure knee osteoarthritis. It has the properties to lubricate and cushion for longer.”

Arthrosamid differs from traditional knee injection treatments both in the material it is made from, and in how the injection relieves pain. Unlike traditional options, Arthrosamid is non-biodegradable so it cannot be absorbed into the body, and it can potentially integrate into the synovium of the inner joint capsule, creating a permanent, cushion-like effect.

While this treatment is not yet available through most public health systems around the world, it has been thoroughly tested, researched, and documented through more than two decades of human trials. This research has shown that Arthrosamid is effective, and has no serious side effects.

Though side effects have been known to occur, they are considered both minor and temporary. The most commonly reported complaints include minor redness, pain, or swelling at the injection site, which fades within the first few days or weeks.

Patients who have previous diagnostic scans, or other relevant materials, are required to send them to the clinic in advance of their appointment. When possible, they are also requested to provide the original images, rather than a report, so the specialist team can provide a second opinion based on their own interpretation of the data.

Any patient who cannot provide their diagnostic scans in advance may be asked to arrive for their appointment 30 minutes early, with the images, so the clinic staff can upload the results.
