Item 5.02 Departure of Directors or Certain Officers; Election of Directors; Appointment of Certain Officers; Compensatory Arrangements of Certain Officers
On June 19, 2017, Mary K. Stadler, Senior Vice President and Chief Accounting Officer for Kansas City Southern (the “Company”), announced her intent to retire as the Company’s chief accounting officer, effective July 24, 2017. As successor to Ms. Stadler, the Company appointed Ms. Suzanne M. Grafton (age 41) as its Vice President and Chief Accounting Officer, effective July 24, 2017. Ms. Grafton joined the Company in 2006 and currently serves as Vice President-Audit and Enterprise Risk Management. Prior to her current role, she was Vice President of Accounting from May 2014 to March 2016, and was Assistant Vice President-Financial Reporting from 2007 through May 2014. To facilitate transition of her responsibilities, Ms. Stadler intends to remain an employee with the Company until January 8, 2018.
