ISRAEL ANNOUNCES DISMISSAL OF A PURPORTED CLASS ACTION
NETANYA, Israel, April 2, 2009
– Cellcom Israel Ltd. (NYSE: CEL) (the “Company”) announced today that a
purported class action filed against the Company in the District Court of
Central Region on November 2007, in connection with allegations that the Company
has charged its subscribers for content services without obtaining their
specific consent in a manner which complies with the provisions of the Company's
general license, was dismissed without prejudice and the lawsuit was dismissed
with prejudice, at the plaintiffs' request. Had the lawsuit been certified as a
class action, the amount claimed was estimated by the plaintiff to be NIS 432
million.
