Rich With Attitude Partners with LA Food Bank to Enhance Support for Underprivileged Mothers and Families

LOS ANGELES, CA / ACCESSWIRE / May 8, 2024 / Rich With Attitude, a nonprofit organization dedicated to empowering underprivileged pregnant mothers and individuals within Black, Indigenous, and People of Color (BIPOC) communities, is thrilled to announce its partnership with a major food bank in Los Angeles. This collaboration marks a significant milestone in Rich With Attitude's mission to provide comprehensive support and resources to mothers and families in need.

Daylajane Mays and Dr Krissy Jones at Rich With Attitude prioritize providing young mothers with essential items for their families.

Rich With Attitude was created by Daylajane Mays, a single mother who raised two children with little guidance and few resources. Through her struggles and sacrifices to make sure her family had everything they needed, Daylajane discovered her passion for helping other young women in similar circumstances. Through Rich With Attitude, Daylajane, the nonprofit organization's board members, and their passionate team of volunteers offer support, guidance, and resources to young mothers who need direction, assistance, and compassion. The programs offered through Rich With Attitude include the GEM's (Gorgeous Educated Mothers) Program, a safe space that helps moms to become the best versions of themselves for their families; Baby Essential Giveaways, which twice monthly offers mothers free diapers, wipes, blankets, formula, play pens, baby clothing, and more; Mommy Support Care Program, where moms can learn about healthy births, mental and physical health, postpartum depression, prenatal care, stress management, and return-to-work readiness.

Through its partnership with one of the largest food distribution organizations in the Los Angeles region, Rich With Attitude aims to address food insecurity among the communities it serves. The nonprofit plans to expand its Better Meals Food Program, which works in tandem with its Baby Essential Giveaways, by distributing food boxes that contain a variety of nutritious items. As a result, more mothers and their children throughout Los Angeles County will have access to wholesome meals that support their health and well-being.

"We are excited to partner with the food bank to further our commitment to supporting underprivileged mothers and families," said Daylajayne Mays, Founder of Rich With Attitude. "Nutritious meals are essential for the well-being of mothers and their children, and this partnership will allow us to make an even greater impact in our community."

"Food insecurity is a significant issue facing many families in the LA area, and we are proud to partner with the food bank," says Dr. Krissy Jones, Rich With Attitude Board member. "By working together, we can make a meaningful difference in the lives of underprivileged mothers and families."

Rich With Attitude invites community members, potential volunteers, and partners to join in its mission to empower mothers towards a healthier, more confident journey through motherhood.
