SumaLatam Awarded Women-Owned Business Certification

By: PRLog

As a woman-owned translation company for almost 10 years, SumaLatam recently received a women-owned business certification

CORDOBA, Argentina - March 28, 2022 - PRLog -- Cordoba, Argentina – SumaLatam (www.sumalatam.com), a language services company in Latin America delivering translation solutions around the globe, announced today that they've received the Women's Business Enterprise (WBE) certification from WEConnect International, an organization that connects buyers to women-owned sellers outside of the U.S. The certification recognizes women-owned businesses and aims to improve the economic potential of these businesses.

WEConnect considers four criteria during the WeConnect International Seal of Certification Process: ownership, management, control, and independence. A business must be at least 51% owned and managed and controlled by one or more women. SumaLatam is 100% women-owned and gives work to more than 100 women between full-time staff and freelancers.

Women's Business Enterprise National Council (WBENC), which certifies U.S.-based women-owned companies, and WEConnect International created an initiative called Women Owned to raise awareness and economic support for businesses that are owned by women. With the WBE certification, SumaLatam is part of the Woman Owned initiative.

"As a women-owned business for almost 10 years, we're proud to receive the Women's Business Enterprise (WBE) certification," said Cecilia Iros, Founder and CEO at SumaLatam. "Our professional translation services are available for clients world-wide, and receiving the recognition by WEConnect and the WBENC further supports our mission and vision as a woman-owned business. As a language services company, we're honored to be a part of such important work to help empower women business leaders."

SumaLatam also recently received ISO certifications, including the ISO 9001:2015 certification based on quality management systems and the ISO 17100:2015 certification for translation-specific quality requirements, further enhancing their dedication to consistent and high-quality translation work.
