Empowering Youth: One Circle Foundation Unveils All Together Rising, a Groundbreaking Resource Redefining Support for Youth Facing Adversity

By: PRLog

SAN RAFAEL, Calif. - March 14, 2024 - PRLog -- One Circle Foundation, a respected organization dedicated to providing Circle programs, curricula, and training to youth service providers around the US and Internationally, proudly launched All Together Rising: Sessions for Youth in Adversity. This collection of step-by-step Circle sessions aims to support anyone working with youth and teens in addressing adverse childhood experiences (ACEs) and promoting positive childhood experiences (PCEs) for young individuals who have faced trauma and adversity.

Adverse Childhood Experiences can have profound and lasting effects on young people, impacting their physical and behavioral health well into adulthood. In response to the urgent need for programs that address these challenges, All Together Rising has been thoughtfully developed to tackle eight different adverse childhood experiences, including community violence, food insecurity, homelessness and housing insecurity, labor trafficking, loss and grief, sex trafficking, teen depression, and teen suicide. "Adolescents is tough enough, but especially when young folks encounter trauma and unsafe conditions. These Circle sessions aim to provide a positive experience and allow the youth to process and connect with others around particularly heavy topics," said Moorea Dickason, the organization's Executive Director.

Compatible with any One Circle model or other group settings where safety has been developed, All Together Rising offers a variety of supplemental Circle sessions in print and digital formats.

A vital aspect of All Together Rising is its community-driven approach. Topic selection was based on feedback from One Circle Foundation's community of facilitators, ensuring that the program addresses the real needs and challenges youth face. The collaborative effort guarantees that the sessions reflect the collective wisdom and experiences of those dedicated to supporting youth.

Central to all One Circle Foundation curricula is the transformative power of the Circle process. Gathering in a safe and caring Circle allows for meaningful interactions with caring adults and peers, promoting inclusivity, empathy, and understanding. All Together Rising is the organization's 27th curriculum release, aligning with their 27 years of service to their mission.

"If you are interested in further engaging your youth groups on adverse conditions that are important to them, please get All Together Rising. These sessions will greatly enhance the group dynamic and call to attention the need for youth well-being and support." said Shayla Benson, Director of Curricula at One Circle Foundation.

One Circle Foundation (OCF) is a 501(c)3 based out of San Rafael, CA, providing professional development and facilitator training, easy-to-use activity guides, and consultation on their Circle programming for youth and families to service providers throughout the US, Canada and Internationally.
